Process of dye-Sublimation Textile
Sublimation is the process of going directly from the solid to gaseous state without passing through the liquid state. This technique is primarily used to customize or print the white garments of 100% polyester, ideal for technical clothing because of its breathability. Heat is applied with a press or an iron or heat, allowing for high quality printing.
Advantages and Applications of Sublimation
The printing is done with special inks in inkjet printers or laser. The heat then converts the ink into a gas, which is blended with polyester for a reproduction almost photographic, without increasing costs. The advantages include a lasting impression, imperceptible to the touch, no color limit, and without the need of film, plates or displays. Sublimation is adapted to small amounts and provides high quality results at a similar cost in a single color or process color.
